THERAPISTS

Mallory Dill, LPC

Welcome to Mallory Dill Counseling, LLC, where I combine compassionate care with professional expertise to guide individuals towards healing and growth. My journey in the field of counseling began with impactful roles at an alcohol and drug treatment center and a community mental health outpatient setting. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Delta State University and am proud to be a National Certified Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor, reflecting my commitment to upholding the highest standards of clinical practice.

I have specialized in a diverse range of counseling areas, including marriage and family therapy, trauma recovery, play therapy, substance abuse treatment, anger management, crisis intervention, and eating disorders. Equine therapy is one of my many passions in the profession, and I am a certified practitioner in this innovative approach, which I integrate to enhance the therapeutic journey for my clients.

My focus is on empowering clients to cultivate healthy coping skills, embrace their narratives, and foster empathy and self-compassion. Through evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Internal Family Systems, I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs and goals of each individual I serve.

With a client-centered philosophy at the core of my practice, I am dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their challenges, discover their strengths, and embark on a path towards holistic well-being. By combining my clinical expertise with a compassionate approach, I exemplify a commitment to helping clients navigate their journeys towards healing and personal growth. .

Mary Morgan Tharp, LPC-S

My name is Mary Morgan Tharp. I am a Mississippi Delta native, born and raised in Indianola, MS. After I graduated High School, I attended Mississippi Delta Community College and Delta State University. In 2010, I graduated from Delta State University with my Master’s in Education with an emphasis in Community Counseling. In 2012, I became a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Mississippi. In 2019, I became a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S). This allows me to supervise clinical hours for Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor’s on their journey to becoming fully licensed. I have mostly worked for different local community mental health centers as an Outpatient Therapist since graduating college. I have had the opportunity to work with all different mental health issues including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, mood related disorders, substance abuse and relationship troubles.

I have been fully trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. I am so excited to be able to continue my education and bring this service to Trio Counseling.

On a personal note, I have been married to my husband, Chris, since 2010. Since getting married we have made Cleveland, MS our home where we are raising our family. We love to spend time with our family and friends, spend time outside and traveling (mostly to the beach). I look forward to providing quality mental health services to the Delta and surrounding areas. It is my goal to assist with breaking down the stigma surrounding seeing a therapist or receiving mental health services

Sarah Makamson, LPC

My name is Sarah Shepherd Makamson. I was born in Memphis, TN, raised in Hernando, MS, and (as I say) grew up in Cleveland, MS. I arrived in Cleveland in 2010 to play soccer for Delta State University. I graduated in 2014 with a bachelors degree in recreation leadership. I left Cleveland briefly to be a backpacking instructor with at risk youth which ultimately lead me back to DSU to pursue my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I graduated in December of 2017 and obtained my LPC in July of 2020. I have worked in several different settings including an adolescent addictions treatment facility, adult addictions treatment facility, and community mental health outpatient.

My newest adventure, in addition to Trio Counseling and Consulting, is obtaining education and a license in Play Therapy!

I am so excited to serve the Mississippi Delta and bring a much needed service to those around me. I strive to provide an open, non-judge mental space for you to feel comfortable to speak your truth!
